Our EMC Screened Room, or ‘EMC Chamber’ is an RF screened environment allowing us to assess large mobile platforms and fixed installations for a range of electromagnetic testing requirements.
The chamber can accommodate all UK military platforms and provides sufficient height for associated antenna systems.
A main battle tank can move its turret through a full 360 degree rotation within the test area; or two tanks placed side-by-side, depending on the application. Large civilian vehicles, such as double-decker buses or dumper trucks, are also able to access through the large 5m doors.
The chamber has reconfigurable RAM towers which can be repositioned as required and the large test area allows operation of equipment not possible in smaller environments, such as craning operations or multi-platform interaction.
Testing is monitored and assessed via the adjacent instrumentation room, providing another RF quiet environment for any test equipment. Fume extraction and gas sensing allows running of the system under test in a safe manner.
