We’re excited to be back at the University of Birmingham #STEM Careers Fair, connecting with the next generation of scientists and engineers.
This year, Alice Mason and Simon Childs represented Malvern Optical Limited, sharing insights into what it’s like to work in applied research, development, and testing within the UK Defence and Security sector.
Alice first attended this fair as a Physics undergraduate – the same event that led her to join our EO Sensors Team as a Scientist. Now, alongside Simon, she’s returned to talk with students considering careers in optics, materials science and applied physics.
It was great to meet so many enthusiastic students exploring graduate and internship opportunities, and learning how science and engineering drive innovation in defence technology.
